About the Journal

The Religious Education Journal (REJ) is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal established in 2025. It is dedicated to publishing high-quality research on religious education in a variety of educational settings, including formal, non-formal, and informal contexts. The journal addresses a wide range of topics such as the history, philosophy, policy, curriculum, and pedagogy of religious education. It also welcomes contributions that explore worldviews, values, ethics, as well as intercultural and interfaith education.

The Religious Education Journal (REJ) publishes original articles that have not been previously published elsewhere. It accepts both qualitative and quantitative research articles, as well as review articles, in the field of religious education.

The journal is committed to academic inclusivity and encourages submissions from scholars worldwide, regardless of gender, career stage, or ethnic and religious background.

All manuscripts submitted to The Religious Education Journal (REJ) undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure scholarly quality and integrity.

The Religious Education Journal (REJ) is published biannually, in June and December. It is a fully open-access journal, meaning there are no fees for either authors or readers.

The journal publishes exclusively in English. Authors are expected to submit manuscripts written in clear and academically appropriate English.
